I blew apart my front Dana 30 about a month or two ago. the jeep is my DD so i just took out the front drive shaft, so that i could keep driving it. I have not taken it apart yet to see what all is broken. I know i can grab the pinion and move it where ever i want but beyond that I don't know anything. I need a list of all parts that i would need if everything in the differential is broken. I don't need like nuts and bolts because i will reuse the ones from my current Diff. I don't have the money to take it to a shop. Plus my dad was a jet mechanic so, i'm good on tools and knowledge. i just need the parts in the diff.

Jeep xj 1990
Stock Height
255/75/15 Rubber
No lockers
3.55 Gearing
Any other specs just ask

Any help would be great

Without getting into it and seeing, you will need a ring and pinion and full install kit. But one from a wrecking.yard would be cheaper and faster. Just change the ABS stuff over. There is generally very little wear on one from a part rime rig

well i'm not going to do it right now. but unless it stops being drive able. i will probably do it this spring. i'm just looking to get it back up and running for as cheep as possible. because i'm going to do an axle swap and lockers later after i'm done with collage and get a good job.

Junkyard then. You could probably do it for $200 or less. Check NAXJA local adds. Sometimes they give stock parts away.
