I grew up at Kings Beach up by the state line. How much snow is up there?

Not much actually ....

We had this trip planned for a while , praying for some precipitation.

Roads are clear. You can see the water, last year the snow was high on markers

Thanks. I am thinking I might be towing a wreck on a trailer over the summit next weekend and I don't want to do that in snow.

I didn't realize that the entrance to the Rubicon was only 1/2 mile down the road !

We went in about 1 mile, when we realized we were on E ...

:bang:

Also, the wife was scared ....

So I will return sometime this week with my bro , and go a little deeper

Exciting, never been !!

My diffs are open, and have no recovery, so I don't want to get into trouble ....

Yup, the Rubi comes out there. Went up there once when I was 16 in a stock 42 MB and decided it was too much for me to be there by myself. Good luck on that and take someone there with you

Deejay, the closure affects 89 a few miles south of there. You will always be able to get to Homewood from I80
