It's awesome to see someone do that to a Rover... all the Rovers around here only see rough roads when they're getting paved.

Everyone seems to like this bumper ... Except when I posted it on a landrover forum for the owner. Then its a pile of you know what, its not safe, they even compare it to a plywood bumper someone made.

A bunch of richard craniums

My point exactly. Some people give me a hard time about my bushwackers, and some give me a hard time about the size of the "D" rings. They can not only kiss my a$$, they can suck it. :shocker: :patriot: :smiley-laughing021:

Yah the base is 2x4x3/16 and the swingout is 2x3x3/16, the bolts are 1/2" grade 8 and the bolt holes are sleeved with 1/8". The bolt that held it closed was just temporary, now it has a 1/2" hitch pin. The bracing under the sidee are 2x4x3/16 also just cut in a wedge.

I'm guessing on the weight but I can pick it up by myself so I'd say about 200-250# then his tire but that tire is really light, lighter than I expected

The D-rings are heavy duty enough, same ones we use on our farm equipment and drag and yank things with them all the time. And yes they are welded on the farm equipment, BUT...... He has a D-ring for his receiver for recovery and he wanted the D-rings on there for his roof top tent he's planning on.

Yeah I didn't like those d-rings either. They look nice on the bumper though. Hey but I didn't build the bumper so to each his own.
