Hello All,
My son and I installed my NOS (Last Christmas' gift) RE Stainless Steel brake lines on my 92 XJ yesterday. I am surprised by the lines having a clear plastic (not packaging) wrap on them. I was also happily surprised that all the hardware needed was supplied. Not sure if I like the plastic wrap, I think it will yellow over time and look bad. But who am I kidding, it will be dirty in a week and know one will know if they are stainless or wrapped anyway!
Now here are my gripes, these show as a direct fit for my XJ but when installed it is almost too tight to get to the bleeder valve on the calipers. There are no instructions or even a thanks for buying our stuff page. I would have liked to see some routing suggestions for all the slack in the lines due to them being extended for articulation. I don't want these to rub or get pinched.
Has anyone else on here installed these, if so can you send some pics on how you kept them from rubbing the tires or getting pinched in the coils?
So in summary good product, bad communication and an issue with fitment.
We bled the system after dark washed down the driveway and I had better brakes due to the complete flush/bleeding. Will be installing a new booster and master cylinder in a few weeks when my son returns for Christmas break.

I have rough country's and there're still clear, been on for over a year now. To keep them out of pinch points I zip tied them to my front shocks leaving enough line to move when it flexes.

Here's how mine are routed.

And they are R.E. and been on for about 9 years and don't really look bad. Maybe a some fading and a little yellowing but not too bad.
