My dad is in the hospital with pneumonia and something called ARDS. Basicly his lungs aren't working and his kidneys are starting to quit too. Doctors are giving him about a 25% chance of making it. So at least there is still some hope. So please keep him in your prayers.

Thank yall for all the replies. He still is not doing good at all. We have gotten the call several times to "get to the hospital, its time" But everytime we get there he pulls through again. He really is a fighter. But they have done all they can do here at this hospital. We are waiting and praying for a transfer to a hospital in houston that specializes in treating what he has. He is in a drug induced coma on a ventilator right now. Part of me wishes he was conscious so I could talk to him and tell him what a great father he has been, but the other part is glad he is out so that he wont have to be sad or scared. This is without a doubt the worst thing I have ever had to go through. He not only is my Dad, he is also my best friend.

I'll keep the prayers coming bro. I couldn't even imagine going through this.

Bro I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. My suggestion is go ahead and tell him everything on your heart. The human voice has amazing healing powers whether it be for you or him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Well another set back. They won't transfer him cause they don't think he would survive the trip. Doctor actually told us that my dad was the sickest person they had in the entire hospital.

Jim, I know this is belated, but my prayers are with you and your family.

I lost my father June 25th, 2005 after he fought Leukemia for 10 years longer than the doctors gave him. Even now, I wish I could talk to him for advice on stuff I'm supposed to know by now in life.
