This weekend I was determined to make my privacy cover for the cargo area. Pretty easy DIY really. Bought two 48'-84' tension rods at Anna's linens for $8 each and about a 1.5 yards of heavy felt for about $13. Stitched the hem to make it 30 inches wide. Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

How are the rod mounted, like shower rods? In other words you can remove one or more if you had something taller to carry in the cargo area?

there are slots where the cover is supposed to go. You can see them on the second picture I think. The rods sit snugly in there and I can take it off very easily if needed BUT they don't bounce out if the road is rough.

In the first pic you can see the slots that the factory cover is supposed to rest in. The tension rods are perfect because they're easy to take out if needed but they don't bounce if the road is rough.

Now I need the seat covers for the back seat so it's all black and uniform.

Well pink & black zebra was an option but I practiced some decorum and went with black. It was a close thing though.

Why not? There is a hot pink XJ not far from me. Belongs to a sewing machine shop

He had that up for sale for a while, as he is a friend of the family he offered it to me, I actually thought about it. Glad I came to my senses :)

There is a new concept that is sweeping the nation, they call it RE-PAINTING. Would work on pink I suppose.

You could have it painted or wrapped in vinyl.
