Alright here ya go guys,..My K&N / 5.56mm Ammo Can / ARB style Snorkel.

From the Throttle body I have a Rusty's Throttle Body Spacer, then goes to a K&N Intake Pipe,

Then the K&N Intake Pipe runs down to the Ammo Can.

Inside of Ammo Can there's a K&N Cone Filter.

A 3" Rubber Flex Hose comes off the bottom of the Ammo Can and goes through the side of the fender.

The 3" Rubber Flex Hose comes out the other side of the fender then continues up to the inlet of the ARB style Snorkel.

And WhaLaa All done. Notice in the last picture I deleted the in fender washer bottle and used a ZJ wahser bottle screwed to the fender in the engine bay.

I also reinstalled the factory plastic fender well shield to help guard the 3" Rubber Flex Hose from the tire during flex, or debris from being flung up and damaging it. But didn't take a picture of the shield back in place.

Here's a picture of the Ammo Can with the 3" Intake Pipe Adapters I installed to it.

I also used some RTV to seal around the 3" Intake Pipe Adapters when I installed them to make sure the Ammo Can stayed water tight.

This is awesome! did'nt knew you could have a snorkel and still keep your basic k&N cone... always tought you either had one or the other...

Are you worried about your tire throwing something into the tube and puncturing it?

Nope not worried at all. I reinstalled the factory plastic wheel well liner back into place after installing the snorkel tube. So the rubber flex hose is contained and protected by the factory plastic wheel well liner. I just didn't take a picture of that. But I can if you actually need a picture of the factory liner back into place.

Has anyone tried moding the Spectere inline cai to the snorkel?

I like the ammo can idea. Not too fussed on the cone filter though. Cone filters only get used by the ricer community over here. They just don't filter well enough for our dusty conditions. I wonder if a panel filter could fit? The XJ air box is horrible. Mine leaks terribly. And now it's warped.
