I have a Clarke combination shear/brake/roller that I have used to make stuff for the XJ, TJ, Mighty Mite and the house. It is not quite as precise as professional models, but they are out of my price range and space requirements. It has paid for itself many times over.

Harbor Freight gets too much of my money as it is. I always spent the money on snap on and craftsman for ratchets and cheap screwdrivers that i will end up being ground into punches and scribes.. Until they make a 110 plasma cutter for under 100.00 bucks, i keep hoping.

I don't have a shear (wish list) it would help but as for a brake I'm using a home made one out of angle iron and 2 hd hinges. I clamp it down onto the benck so it takes some time seating up. I just used a friends roller to make vents for his highhood . he thinking about selling it and so other things (he got ladeoff). so if he sales it to me he can stell use it. By the way you have done some very nice work fab 4.3lxj. as for a plasma on 110and around $100 have seen one but eastwood's plasma run on 110 or 220 and goes on sale off and on for around $500 and sometines free shipping.

I don't have a sheet metal brake but I have one of these:

If you have a nice wire feed welder and a plasma that can cut at least 3/8" steel you've got a great combo to get started.

I have the welders and cutters you have any room in your neighborhood I don't have one of those. lol. around here we are starting to pull resources. If you have some thing or made some tool we all shear and help make things. My brake came about when a friend needed some vent ducts so we built the brake it will bent a 8 foot sheet into a sq. box. couple of peoples have laths and small mills and other have lifts so we are working to gether to get thing done. one of these time when we get together for a work party I will try and get so pix I'm the only one with a XJ so the unabody is different.
will keep the tools coming and ideals happening.
