well i joined this forum sometime back and got very busy lifting my truck and didn't get around to much forum surfing. here are a couple pix of my South African built XJ. I installed a imported Rough Country 6.5" kit together with Hankook 33's. I have only test driven her once so can't really elaborate on the kit as yet.

and what she looks like now

the bumper you kinda see on the one pic is just temp seeing i'm going on a 4x4 outing for the whole weekend and don't want to hurt the front end.

what you guys think?????

Very nice. Glad you took the before and after pictures, and shared them with us. I guess it's the ham radio operator in me but I just think it's extra cool when all this shared interest resides in another country thousands of miles apart.

thx all. she has kept me up plenty late nights getting her finished for tomorrows trip. apparently 270 entrants.will post some pix.

it is a Rough Country 6.5" kit with home brew SYE and track bar.

mudder, we to her have a jeep following

check out our local forum: http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=139
In my area called Mpumalanga I am the only person in a far and wide area which actually plays with a xj. here they are actually older luxury vehicles. if you own one it actually says that you have a certain amount of money. i have been called mad for modding a xj.

hi again
went on a run today with a couple of club members and as some of you guys asked for some wheelin pix i thought i would post a couple for you to see. the suspension is a little noisy or else my joints are all just a little tired and now the lift together with the 33's it is exagorating the wear on the joints. this does not bother me right now as i intend going full width on F250 44/60 dana diffs. i'm still considering narrowing them or just going the cheap way, full width. here are the pix on a buddies farm out here in South Africa.

she is a lot more capable now and did not get any hang ups and cleared every obsticale i put here over. she now sits with a height from pinch seem to the ground of 520mm. this really seems to be more than enough and next up will be the new diffs and a set of 35's. i just have to save up for them big time but will make a plan somewhere along the line.:sad0147::sad0147:
