My hunting spot

Here's a pic of the Jeep up at my wife's grandfathers farm where I hunt. I drove up Sunday morning checking out my stands, and retrieving my game camera.

I can assure you I DON'T drive back there DURING deer season!:shocker: BIG no no!!! It's only a 40 acre farm, so it's not a big piece of property, but it does have deer back there in the woods.:thumbsup: Actually it's only about 400-500 yards from the farm house back to the woods. So it's not a long walk.

Thanks for all the compliments on the XJ. ANY vehicle cost's alot of money in my world, and I try to keep them as nice as I can for as long as I can.

Yeah, there are a few. Well I should say I've only taken one. It was about 9-10 years ago. It was an 8 point that dressed out at 175#. Not a huge rack, but nice enough. I've taken alot of does though. Heck, they eat better anyway.:thumbsup:

I did have a REAL nice buck walk right under my stand right at dark during bow season. I took a shot but he was so close, and I was shooting almost directly down and shot over his back.:mad0090: He never knew I was there. I watched him walk away.

I buddy that hunted there with me that has hunted for over 40 years saw a buck walk down the north end of the woods. He told me it was the largest rack he'd ever seen. So there are nice deer moving thru there, I just haven't been "lucky" enough to take one the real big ones....yet!:D
