It has a nice rumble but you don't hear it once you get up to 40, or so.

Nice tone, similar to a V8 just not as loud and not as much rumble.

The guy at the muffler shop says "That's a good catalytic converter!" "I sell that same one here." "How much did you pay for that?" I told him a little over $100. He was surprised and said "I sell it for $269!"

I like your muffler, something just occured to me, does that mean my jeep is not stock since I had a flowmaster muffler installed about 4 years ago along with a k&n air filter?

Well I think that would be minor modifications, but it certainly isn't a stock replacement. ;)

Was your flowmaster a one , two or three chamber muffler? Mine is a two chamber and boy does it echo inside when at an idle, but it sounds good :D

You know, I have no idea. I went back and had a look on the summit page and it didn't say. It is a lot louder than I originally thought though. I can set off car alarms in the parking garage.

Speaking of mufflers, what do you think about duel exhaust on jeeps? I had in on my old 87 suburban and loved it. I have been wanting to put it on the jeep since I bought it.
I listen to peoples exhaust on the little rice burners, I think it makes them sound like a swarm a bees, so I am still (4 years later) undecided.

I would be concerned with the O2 sensors that are on your exhaust now. How would you split those? If you don't then the O2 sensor is only getting half the information

If you are talking about 2 tailpipes, then that is different.

I had not thought of that. I guess if I did do it, it would have to be two tail pipes.

I think I'll leave it on the back burnner still and think about the other stuff that needs done first.

Having two tailpipes...sound like a mall crawler to me. first if you go off-roading that is one less thing that will get bashed. second...why?

^ what did you put on your jeep? I have 2.5" pipe custom bent header back high flow magnaflow cat and a gibson muffler. I love it.
