Blurry google earth imagery showed some tracks at a spot - Ive been to before .... that aren't on the, topo and other maps Ive got .... So time to go slop the new diff oil around a bit.
Weather wasn't bad for middle of winter .... So headed off mid morning, doing a few highway miles first up.
Was interesting to note that again - despite now running 4.10 ratios and 30" tyres ... the console mpg display was showing the best numbers I've seen for quite a while.
Yayyy ... no bitumen for a while ..... for about 5hrs anyway :thumbsup:

Was a few little gullies to get thru ... Not much rain lately - so no surprise, bottomless pit, bog patches, hiding under a 2", dry looking, crust.

Was plenty of this .... Spent about 3hrs doing 30 mile ... with all the scrub bashing detours .. :D
A lot of the area was trashed coz of a storm that uprooted trees ... So National Park or not ... chainsaw is part of the recovery gear next time .. :rolleye0012: ... as theres a few good campsites to make use of.
