Mini DVR recorder

So one of the things i got for my birthday is this little camera. I don't know a ton about it and am playing around with it.

Since a had a little time today i thought i would test it out viewing the undercarriage while going through this.

It looks like its zoomed in to me or just a small focused view. I had put it on the bottom, end of the trailer hitch facing forward but only got most of the diff cover in that one. If anybody knows about these, is there anything i can do to get a wider view? Or is it just this basic because its a cheap one? Here's one i thought was good enough to keep.

Seems like a pretty neat device for placing if you have a random noise or movement you can't identify or see when you are driving!! I wonder if it would last on an offroad trail ride?!!

You bet i'll be testing it when i finally get the xj out there. :D

The small view probably wouldn't catch much as far as diagnosing a problem. One more "zoomed out" would be better suited for that.

I'm still testing on it in different places.

I have a question. Is the lens about the size of your typical cell phone lens? If so, I got a solution! I got mine for free, but they do make magnetic wide angle lenses for phones. Really amazing what they can do!

That sounds perfect! The lense is really small. Its the black spec like in the picture of it on the box. The camera is pretty small so don't overestimate it. Lol

Well, just for reference here's this link. It's very similar to the one I have. I found some cheaper than the $13 one, but this is the first one I saw that had a lens cover to protect it. I love mine and it takes awesome pics! You can't tell at all that there is an extra lens attached other than you see a wider view!

Awesome... I got a bunch of cable ties from work and tried tieing mine up in diff spots. I like it on the roof rack the best.

I'll have try that. I think i'm gonna like the moving parts most, like suspension.

That's what i was thinkin'
