Need some help! Can I put a XJ 4.0l in a Wrangler?

Has anyone here ever swapped a XJ 4.0 into their 4.0 Wrangler? 93 xj- 91 Wrangler.

I haven't done it, but I believe girlyjen78's YJ has a XJ engine in it, but she bought it that way.

Will bolt right in. It is the exact same motor. You may need to use your ps pump, alt, and ac comp as well as brackets, and your motor mounts. But other than that it is the same.

A good friend of mine did it with his 97 TJ, he had no issues and he was not very tech savvy. In fact he did 2 swaps due to the first motor being blown after he swapped it, both where from XJs.

True story...The only difference I have found so far is the air conditioning compressor for a wranger 4.0 won't fit on the xj 4.0...Found that out the hard way!
