Nice pics Nate. Where is that anyway? I can tell by the Ponderosa Pine what elevation you are at, but I have never heard of this place. In the Coast Range?

It is actually up highway 4 east of the 99 about n hour nd a half. It is off of boards crossing road, which turns off of highway 4 t the start of dorrington

Gotcha. I checked google maps. A lot of places on the El Dorado forest have been shut down. Hard to know which ones are open now. Looks like a place to visit. Camping? How large is the area?

The trail takes a few hours, very mild wheeling, but, slickrock is about 15-20 miles up the road, starting at lake alpine... Well worth the trip, and I would love to camp up there anytime. Last time we camped at sourgrass, and did slickrock during the day and sourgrass at night.

Slickrock is my favorite... It is a moderate to difficult trail... We are doing it the 20th, and weekend of may 3rd
