Just a quick afternoon run to blow the cobwebs off the grocery getter ... and have a better look at the fire area.

Since our National Sparks and Wildfires Service doesnt like private vehicles or firetrucks driving anywhere but on the main road,
..... and lets what would be, handy firetrails, get overgrown ... :rolleyes:

.... had to hoof it, for a look around.

Good visibility and walking when the place has had a clean out ... Shame it doesnt happen more often.

The highest point in the area .... is about 3000ft above sea level :o ... :D:D

Wood collecting in a National Park .. :confused: ... :eek:

Doing that, would get me in more trouble than wandering around a schoolyard with a loaded AK47 would.

Our eco-freaks dont want any, little beetles made homeless ... by people removing the excessive amounts of ground fuel, that helps make our bushfires so spectacular ... :rolleyes:


Not many beetles, roos, emus .... or anything else ... in there now ... :rolleyes:

Doesn't look like it. Kind of makes you wonder what they are thinking doesn't it. I used to get wood out of an old burn on federal land. The fire conditions were just right to preserve the wood. The rain and snow washed the black off it so it was clean
