It happens from time to time. The thanks button just disappears. Why?

Maybe they don't want to be thanked lol. Not sure, I've noticed that happen before and wondered about it.

How old it the post? There is a time limit for the thanks.

Maybe they don't want to be thanked lol. Not sure, I've noticed that happen before and wondered about it.

When that happens, if you click on the little old fashion scale near the post thread post number, it will say something like spread the thanks around to other members before you can thank this person again...

Just this morning. It has since returned and left again. lol.

I've noticed that if a post gets posted to the thread I'm currently viewing, I have to refresh before the "thanks" button appears on that post.

I think I may have figured it out. Going on Patrick's lead, I clicked on the scale. It told me that I have given too much reputation in the last 24 hours.... I guess I thank people too much :D

There's a limit on how many thanks i can give?!?! lol This could be a problem for me. :D

Okay here ya go...

You must have 2 posts before you can thank someone.
You can only do 50 thanks a day
You can only thank a post that is 30 days or newer, past 30 days, well NO THANK YOU! :D
You cannot Thank yourself. (Vision issues will occur otherwise)

You must have 100 posts before you can GROAN someone's post.
You can only give 10 groans a day
You can only groan a post up to 30 days old
You may not GROAN yourself, at least not here, get a room.
