3.07? Common for a standard and the 4.0, I think.

Yeah most XJs that are manual and also 4.0L are sent from the factory with 3.07:1 gears unless they were ordered differently. 2.5L 4 Cylinders had 4.10:1 gears and most with the 4.0L and automatics were sent with 3.55:1 gears.

so basicly an easy and i guess cheap way of gettin 4.11 would just be to swap the axel with one from a 2.5L? also is this from 84-01 or is there specific years?
