Looking clean!
How was the frame prepped?
Media Blast?
Just sanded/wire wheeled?

Any plans to "late model" the front clip and interior?

Frame was sanded and any surface rust removed and treated.

This one is staying close to original, I have 5 Comanches in total only done the new from clip swap on one so far.

MJ is looking good... I really like the one you did the late model front swap on... if only it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg to get it from ya and get it down here...

Looking good Jenssen!! You get an estimated time for completion??

Hoping for April or May, all I care is that the snow will be gone and the roads cleaned up :)

Is it a restoration or you added upgrades too?

It's staying stock, may have a small paint quality upgrade. I may lower it an inch or two later down the road and look into a newer bench seat with head rests,..

Other than that keeping it stock until I change my mind :)

Catastrophic fail today,...

Something happened with the paint used DuPont Nason paint and it dried so fast it didn't adhere and went on so dry it made the primer look good, called DuPont and got some reccomend actions of additives and new mix ratios,...

So now it gets sanded again and we will sample the new formula on the tail gate to see if it works,...

Bummer :(

Got a little orange peel?
Meh... most paint (from what I know) will do that.... I hear its nearly impossible to get a mirror finish right out of the gun.
You probably know more than me, but some light wet sanding or a light cutting compound like Meguires Ultimate Compound would do wonders.

A few things i am not happy about,..

The front to rear stance on the truck is way off,.. So I am going to try some spacers to kick the rear tires out or go to a set of Mustang wheels to get a wider rear wheel.

And I over looked the track bar and steering so looks like I will be fabbing up some custom stuff to match the altitude adjustment,.. oh and a redesigned axle to match the drop.
