Gauges not working

I have a 89 wrangler and all my gauges stop working.....why?......checked fuses , they were ok. took gauge cluster out and did not see anything wrong . .... what else can it be?????....... has anybody had this problem? if so what did you do to fix it..........I am at a loss .............

Check the ground wire for the cluster and most especially the plug in back for good contact
