I just did this same thing to my wife's XJ 2 weeks ago. The flares were almost as white as the Jeep. Didn't do the rear flares and used some Black Back just to see the difference. 2 weeks later and the fronts are still good and the rears are starting fade again. Gonna have to get the heat gun back out!:beer:

Made me think of a good point! DO NOT use the heat gun close to painted surfaces,...

My dad put wipe new on his chevy over 7 months ago and his plastic is still dark black. That stuff really works.
