Hey everyone, I might as well show off my XJ for everyone. It's nothing too special, as it is my DD and I can't get too crazy with it.

I bought it in June of 2009 as a DD replacement for my 1999 Mercury Cougar that was just not enjoying DD duties anymore as it was being turned into a road racing car. Here it is as I purchased it.

First mod was a Uniden CB with a Firestik, AutoPal H4 conversion, and upgraded harness

Took a break from modding for a long time and just enjoyed it as a DD.

Last year, I decided to start tinkering with it again, and I snagged an overhead console and speaker bar out of a 1994 XJ. The fabric was trashed, so I decided to rewrap them with some camo fabric. All in all, turned out great! Speaker bar went right in, but the overhead console is still waiting for a new headunit, that way I can do all my wiring once and get it over and done with.

Also, from the same buyer, I picked up a 2" BB spacer/shackle lift kit. Not a huge difference, but better than stock.

Since then, I put on a set of aftermarket fog lights (which were HUGE for my drive the other night, 150 miles of nothing but fog).

Pulled the windshield trim off and painted it with spray on bedcoating.

Did the same with the rear bumper

That takes care of the important stuff, now for some of the "fun" pictures I've taken of it over the years.

Some great pics Bobby! I'm an XJ + Cougar owner too (1968)... Welcome to the forum.

Nice looking rig, what are your future plans for it?

Factory Spec: 1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4.0L, AW4, NP242

Current mod list:
2" BB lift w/ 235/75R15 Cooper Trendsetter tires
Flowmaster Super 44 muffler, no cat (removed by previous owner)
Uniden Pro538 CB with Firestik
Jensen POS CD Player with Niche Audio 5.25" Components with external tweeters
1994 Overhead console and speaker bar
Gauge cluster lighting converted to amber/orange LED's
AutoPal H4 conversion housings "Euro pattern" with city lights, with 90/100w bulbs
Baja Edition fog lights (cheapo O'Reilly Auto yellow fog lights)

Future mods:
Recovery points front and rear
New CD player/head unit (current one isn't working right, volume changes on its own and won't change volume easily when you want it to)
New CB (probably Cobra 29 that is more tunable and stronger than the Uniden I have now)
3" Rough Country lift kit
BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KM2's (still undecided on 31's or 33's)
LED light bars around the vehicle

Not really sure what else I want to do, as this is my DD and I want to keep it somewhat road friendly, but also fun enough to take mudding and trail driving.
