Since I did a modest 3" lift I've been meaning to install bump stop extensions. I had done the front using hockey pucks, but never got around to the rear. I had some 1" thick x 3"-W aluminum flat stock lying around, so I cut two pieces 6" long and made a couple of spacers for the rear bump stops. Drill out a 7/16" hole in each end, get some longer 10mm bolts, and stick them on. I only needed an inch extension, but you can get aluminum flat stock in just about any thickness.

So where did you get that nice aluminum?

I had the bar stock in my pile of prior projects material (I save most everything). It's also available online at places like this: http://www.onlinemetals.com/ and on Ebay.

Yep, I'm in the same boat as you.. so I didn't even bother with the other side yet.. Was thinking I'd look into some nutserts, and just drill out the old stuff... But will wait till I get everything sorted out and see if I'm going to need to do some spacers on top of the new extended rear bumpstops or not..

Upper rear, shock bolts? They made those things too small or should have been grade 8!

screw those silly upper shock bolts.... had to drill out all four of mine... but got some good bolts/nuts in there now... just got to patch a small hole or two in the floor... lol
