Josh touched on the potential Jeep factory in China and that this was a record sales year.

Per Automotive New magazine, brand chief Mike Manley states as of Dec 2012 they still had 15,000 unfilled orders for Wranglers and that for 2012 Jeep Wrangler plant was on track to produce 200K units though the facility was only designed to produce 150K units. Manley states he could sell 250K units a year World wide if he had the capacity to build them.

Manley also said that if Chrysler's manufacturing "experts" were successful, capacity could be found to produce some long sought Wrangler derivatives. (i.e Diesel powered for North America and a truck).

FWIW, he also states the Compass and Patriot will continue through 2013 and be replaced by a single model in 2014.

I wanted to come back to the Jeep Factory in China.

This is nothing new. Most of us are familiar with the Jeep 2500 (version of XJ built in China).
However, Jeeps have been built all over the world by various companies under license by Jeep.
