Expanding the podcast

Thanks so much to all of you that offered suggestions and encouragement on my recent post about the lack luster performance of the XJ TALK SHOW! as far as download count.

I really enjoy doing the show so it's not going away, I just really like getting feedback so please tell me, Josh (NW99XJ), or Steve (4.3LXJ) what you like, dislike...

The main reason for this post is to get your input in something I'm just thinking about at this point.

We have a sister site WranglerTalk.com that doesn't see near the traffic or interest that this site does. Now I could do a second podcast, but one is really a lot of work, or I could add a Wrangler segment to the show.

Personally I really enjoy Wranglers, and "we" own one, but I know there can be "ill" feelings between the XJ and Wrangler (YJ, TJ, LJ, JK) crowd.

So vote in the poll and let me know how you feel about having a Wrangler segment. I know one thing we can do with Wranglers that we can't do with the XJs, "What's new from Jeep about Wranglers!" ;)

I voted the third option, because I really don't care. I think it is not the vehicle, but the attitude of the wrangler owners that is the problem. After all, we share the same front end stuff and tcases and steering on most of them anyway.

its the xj drivers ,,they dont wave....we dont have that problem down here , every jeep owner is frowned upon............

Remove the space after the "[" at the URL and img. Had to do this, otherwise you would just have seen the banner ad. :P

I'm cool with it, but not overpowering. Like a short segment would be fine, about five minutes.

I was reading your first post and a thought came to mind. How about a "Jeep Stories" segment? Just where someone talks about a funny or crazy story about a jeep. All that requires is it be interesting. I know i always enjoy a good story and if its about a jeep, that's just gravy.

Lots of mechanical similiarities - so someone might benefit from a bit of cross model info anyways ...



Personally I wouldnt worry too much about the podcast performance ... Its a good little "extra" on the forum IMHO ...

... and as others mentioned, in the other thread ... If you're having fun doing it and theres a bunch of us saying we enjoy it ...

Then keep it going. ;)

I think if you were to continue talking about yours and ease in some info maybe from the sister site it would be fine> I think hearing about cherokee outings and get togethers would be very helpful if wrangler talk is important to you then bring it on. I actually have no issues with adding a wrangler segment to the show... I don't mind wranglers at all, and as said above we share alot of the same parts and upgrades/talk... so wouldn't really be taking away from the show as far as :xjtalk: goes!! I mainly joke when I said wronglers or anything like that... I wouldn't mind owning a wrangler one day... just not in my price range right now.... and alot of the wrangler owners have an attitude that drives me up the wall... like their Jeep is the only Jeep that is worth a crap or something... but I know that isn't all owners.. so bring on the additional segment... and lets get the traffic going over on WranglerTalk!!

Hmmm it works. Did you remove the space from "[ URL" and "[ img"?

Why dont you just make the podcast for all Jeeps, not just a certain model...I would love to hear about Wagoneers, etc

And I must say, it was good. Nice job Tony and Josh. Although yall almost lost me with Final Fantasy 3 and How to win at Nintendo Games! ;) just kidding. Tony I know it takes a lot of work to put them together. Doing a great job, keep up the good work.
