i had to just get a new windsheild the other day for my jeep. the cheapist i could find a new windsheild installed was $150. found this guy on a local off road site that installes windsheilds and he had a good one for me he wanted my spaire 30 and 35 for parts and he would install the windsheild done save me a $150 buck. anyway he told me that the windsheild for him to buy would cost $55 then he would charge me $20 to install it. wtf is the $150 for from a shop to clean my glass? i just thought that is was a little over priced after he told me how much it realy was. any way:mad0090: i just wanted to vent on it.

I had mine done about 3 years ago for $110. I watched while he did it. If I had a source (haven't looked) for the windshield I could do it in about twice the amount of time he did it. :smiley-laughing021:

I just got mine done through SafeLite Auto Glass... my girlfriend's dad is a mechanic and had an account with them, so I only paid $150 for everything. Not too bad considering that it would've been nearly $300 if I had done it w/o using his account.

I have it easy, it will cost me my $100 deductable on my insurace, but no points will be added to my insurance, and they will send someone out to do it at my place.

Just ordered my new MJ windsheild through SafeLite and it was $156.00 installed. Getting it Friday afternoon.

Found out I need to wait until Monday afternoon now. They won't admit it but I think they broke the only one they had locally.

all i was saying was that they deffinantly rap the hell out of you for the price that they charge you for the windshield and to install it. when it is not all that much to buy it. but i guess that is how the would works. i mean look we have a black president:headbag:
