I think I just fell in love and now I am going to two time George (My jeep).

I have been looking for another 92-93 3/4ton Dodge Diesel, since the 92 I have is falling apart around it's motor. I ran across a 93 dodge up in Seattle, Wa and I have been talking back and forth to it's owner trying to strike a good deal. The dodge is in perfect condition and has only 67,000 original miles on the diesel motor. I really wanted an extended cab, but with it's really low miles, I am trying to swing a deal. He wants $9,000 for it, but it only blue books for $6,500. I am going to offer him $7,700 and wait to see if we can make a deal. Oh I really hope we can, it is beautiful!!!

I've never been a fan of that body style, but it looks to be very clean and in great shape! A few beers and a drive in the field should take care of that though. :headshake::smiley-taunt013::smiley-laughing021:

I think it is in great shape. I hope it works out for you Mel. Maybe you can throw a steer in to sweeten the deal. Or a few bales of hay.

So in order to have a woman fall in love with me (my wife already has thank you very much) all I need to do is look like a truck? All those wasted years of doing it wrong. What kind of truck do rich women like?

This one I will not let get to the point mine is now, hopefully :headbag:

It is steep on the price, but with the very low miles, I am willing to give him $1,200 over blue book, but no more.

Tried that, but he lives in the city and has no use for beef on the hoof :D

Well I don't know about rich women, but I am pretty easy, I don't need a brand new $40,000 Dodge to make me happy. There is just something about driving a big Diesel that gets my motor running :smiley-scared002:

I have not decided what is going to happen to the old Dodge. The diesel runs perfect and has 240,000 on it. The problem has been everything else is falling apart around the motor

Why?........... are you interested in it, I have to warn you it's not pretty, but runs outstanding

I have never been a Ford fan, shoot........I'm up for a pull off, you? :D

My Dodge can haul a swather thats 14feet wide and weighs 26,000 including the trailer up long grades with out breaking out in a sweat, and to boot will still get 20mpg while doing it.

I would love to have an exhaust brake.

It's not really the money, I love the body style of the 90-93 Dodges and I am looking for the last truck I'll ever buy, and with 67,000 on the OD this might just be the one, as long as I take care of it alot better this time around and quit racing over pivot tracks.

That is in great shape. And the low miles is almost un-heard of for a diesel.

Dodge pick ups, especially the 3/4 tons, are my favorites out of the Big 3. That one that you're considering is in especially great shape and can to over 10,000 pounds IIRC. I would own that in a second, but I don't know if I could justify spending more than blue book on it. I know they are few and far between in that condition, of that year, with that mileage, but just think about it - you'll never make that money back, and chances of you reselling it and finding a buyer that'll pay you more than BB value is not a realistic idea. Now, I'm also the type of person that encourages people to chase what they want if it's feasible. If you're cool with spending $1,200 over BB, and this is a vehicle that you absolutely love and will have for a very long time, then go for it. You only live once, so you might as well enjoy whatever you can get your hands on that makes you happy.

Hopefully I'll join the diesel club one day too... after driving my friend's '05 3500 with the diesel and not the Hemi I decided right there and then that I'd own one someday.

I have been back and forth over paying $1200 over blue book, but then I think back to when my Diesel was bought, it was bought in 95 as a three year old with 125,000 on the OD and the price tag then was $12,500. It has been a wonderful truck and still would be if it had been taken care more than it was. So I really think $1200 over blue book is where I will stick at and not offer a penny more, I am comfortable paying this since they are hard to find in this great of condition, stock and waiting for me to customize my own way.

First thing to go will be the canopy, I will never have a use for that. Then I will need to spend the money to have a hide away gooseneck hitch installed in the bed, get a bed liner, brake controller, get it wired for a gooseneck :smiley-talk024:

Man...................... I see a thin bank account headed my way, if I can make the deal, especially if I can make the deal :rotfl2:

The sad part is that the newer Dodge Diesel's can smoke mine standing still with all the power they have, but I really do like the body style of early 90's year Dodges, Oh............. well I never claimed to be sane :thumbsup:

When tuned correctly, I've seen the old 12V smoke the 24V engines.
