I recently ordered and received (ordered around Thanksgiving, received yesterday) a dash cam dvr. It's a complete unit capable of recording hours of audio and video at 1080. It was right at $100 after shipping.

That's cool. Would come in handy also on the trails. I noticed it has speed and longitude and latitude settings as well. That is a sweet lil DVR there Tony. I think I may ask Santa for one of those :D

Yeah unfortunately I don't think the GPS functionality works. I have to send them a message and ask what's up with that. Instructions say "optional" next to GPS. I wonder how you make that option happen.

How does the mount handle bumping and banging around?

Drudging up an old thread here. Mudd, how is this camera doing these days, and how many hours of video can it retain? I'm thinking of putting one in my vehicle.

I drive 2 hours a day and it records 5 days of that on a 32GB card

Well I got my camera today, went for a drive this evening (after dark) to try it out. I'm impressed for the price. I found that I can use it for a web cam as well, that's cool. I'm going to try it out this week as I travel and see how much it will record on 32g.

Ok I've been a 4 day trip with the camera running the whole 1100 miles. This thing is the best bang for your buck you will find. I've found all kinds of uses for it besides a dash cam. It works GREAT as a web cam as well. I recorded some idiot drivers this week but nothing youtube worthy. I'm making a 2000 mile trip soon through 5 states, I'll keep it running!!
