I am soon to install a SYE on my 242 transfer and need a front driveshaft to modify for the rear.

The driveshaft will not be a direct replacement since I replaced my transmission with a 727 (behind a 318) and it will have to be shortened.

As I see it, any driveshaft with a good constant velocity joint would be usable (that is, from a Jeep).

I am located in College Station, TX 77845

Actually Ron, any drive shaft with Spicer 1310 U joints with a CV at one end should work. Jeep uses Spicer stuff for drivelines

A Dodge friend found me a driveshaft at a pick and pull in San Antonio. It cost $45.00 plus tax.
