California carb compliant Cat

looking for a california cat for my jeep. Bought one off Craigslist with a muffler and got screwed by a few xj owner. It angers me that there are assholes that drive jeeps. It was a 49 state legal cat not california CARB compliant.

The CARB compliant cats are expensive, the CARB sticker costs 10K for each part number. You will probably have to buy one from a parts store or dealer. I used one from Summit Racing. But you will probably only have a problem if you are at a gold seal smog station.

I was hoping that someone may had pulled one off there jeep in Cali that maybe still good.

My opinions about cats in CA is that it is better to buy new. The first time you fail smog and have to go back, you paid for half of a new 49 state cat which will pass a visual unless you tell them about it.

I ended up buying one off someone on craigslist that had a new magnaflow cat that he had.
