Hey Melissa,
I was just out in the Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA area last week for the 1st time in my life and boy was it beautiful. I wish I could have spent more than 1.2 days there before having to come back to NYC Metro area -- it's just as beautiful as you made it look in your pics. And I saw a lot of nice 4x4s (and street rods) driving around and wished I had my XJ with me on the plane.

We only have 2 seasons in Oregon. Rain and road construction. :rotfl2:

Depends on where you live, west of the cascades hardly get much snow, and if by chance they do...........most freak out and forget how to drive. :rotfl2:

Over where I live, we get some snow (have seen 5-6 feet) but most the time it doesn't stick around for too long. What I hate is the freezing rain, that can f**k up your day in a major hurry

Yesterday was not bad at all, I believe here in Heppner we made it back up to 52 degrees, but with the clear day came the cold night, dipped back down to 28 last night. Today is overcast and sprinkles of rain, with a current temp of 49 at 11:10 am. I want it either to clear up and dry out, or freeze for more than a night, so it will get rid of this mud, it's making my days crappy.

Yeah, most people in the valley do freak out, they act like they never seen snow before, even though it usually snows here a couple times every winter. Personally I can't wait til theres snow, I love takin my xj out in it lol.

The cascades started getting snow a few weeks ago, the ski resorts had the earliest opening on record. Also, the weather guys are saying that due to the la nina weather pattern, the nw is in for the hardest winter its had since the 1950s... Looking forward to it.

JG-Man, yeah that's Walter from The Big Lebowski, one of my top 5 favorite movies ever.

Yup,....I keep hearing that we are supposed to see weather events we have never seen before............... already I am seeing a big difference in the weather here. Two weeks ago I moved my cows down from the base of the mountain where I had them pastured and it was already snowing and sticking up there............thats only about 15 miles from my house

I do love it though when all my chores are done and I can sit in the house and watch it snow.
