Last Saturday ... Boy I'm pumped about this one. Can't wait to find the right lenses for it & get it mounted. I battled with it to get it off an old police car as you might have guessed. Huge yard, only one available. I'm a happy camper. :D

Cool, thanks for sharing. I thought about one of those for my rig. When I priced them seems like they were upwards of $200. I decided I didn't need it after all. :rotfl2:

Can you find parts for it still? I thought it used a 5" sealed beam from a motorcycle.

If you go to Unity Lights (or something like that, online), the entire assemblies are there, plus spare parts. Google "police spot light" or "Post mount spot light". I'm sure I can find something locally. Also, there are similar lights on ebay. I found that out just yesterday.

Mudderoy the ebay prices are very good too, nowhere near the high markups on the internet. I'm glad I removed it from the donor myself tho ... now I know how to get it on the XJ. It was quite tricky.

There is an XJ specific mounting made. ALOT of XJs went to police or fleet operators and had these installed.

I had the mount but not the light on a Fleet XJ I used to have. The wiring and everything was still inside the A-pillar just no light. If you get a used mount, make sure to replace or check the seals CAREFULLY....

I took the mounts with it from the donor vehicle but I haven't tested them on the XJ yet. I plan on getting new gaskets. We'll see. It'll take me some time to get a chance to work on this.

Threw one away when we did the big move..........maybe it's in an unpacked box somewhere.....if it turns up, I'll send you some back-up.
