**HELP w/ac**

hello all! ok today it stormed in socal.. i turned on my heater to defrost the front window and im almost sure my compressor for the ac also came on.. the vent was blowing hot air so my question is, is the compressor supposed to be coming on or is it just that setting that does it?? this is my second XJ but my first had no ac just heat so i cant compare the two... any thoughts???:confused:

Yup the compressor comes on with the heater also both mine do. Only time I wont is if it's out of freon but air wont work either heat will tho.
