I'm not very superstitious or anything like that, except for this one little saying:
"Things happen in threes"
This seems to get more and more real as time goes by.
The week started off by a friend of mine calling me telling me that he couldn't make it to a meeting because his wife's mother had passed away. Then yesterday my girlfriend's grandfather passed away - she was very close to him. Finally, today I call up one of our close friends to let him know about my girlfriend's grandfather, and he sounded really down. I asked what was wrong and he said that one of his friends that he grew up with since childhood died a couple days ago - he was only 30.
It's been such a dark, morbid, sad week - and all in a set of three. Last year when my girlfriend's grandmother died, we also had two other deaths within our friends/family network.
At this point I can't wait for this week to end....
