Exhaust manifold bolts??

My wife's XJ's had a Exhaust manifold bolt break and I was wondering has anyone been able to fix this with out taking the whole manifold off?

Lost one, never broke one.

Upper or lower connection bolt???

Lower, but they are so beat up I was looking to try and get them off and replace the bolts.

It is my practice to replace them when the head is off for any reason. Have found broken ones on heads after removal that I was unaware of until the head was off. Machine shop removed it and we used a couple of studs IIRC.

I think I was miss understood. I mean the bolts that connect the manifold to the down pipe. Two bolts with a donuts like gasket. One of those bolts is broken and the other is beat up and loose.
