Not much change in the sand, scrub, sand, gibbers, sand and scrub, terrain out this way ..:D

.... but there were a few points of interest.

Had a few things blocking the track at times ...

Then there was this little "gecko" that scampered across in front and climbed a tree ...

... And wouldn't you know it ..:rolleyes: .... a car full of cameras - and the only pics of the 5ft tall bushchook that wanted to climb on the bonnet ... ummmm, I mean the hood :p .....

.... Was the dust from the sideways panic stop ... and where the damn thing went .. :bang: :bang:

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/carves-oz/Trip%20Pics/02102012/031012-Emu01c.jpg ......... http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/carves-oz/Trip%20Pics/02102012/031012-Emu02c.jpg

Ohhhhh ..... and can some of you, learned and experienced blokes, explain what this stuff is ... and how I get rid of it ..:confused:

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/carves-oz/Trip%20Pics/02102012/031012-Mud02c.jpg ......... http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/carves-oz/Trip%20Pics/02102012/031012-Mud04c.jpg ........ :smiley-laughing021:

This is probably the real reason for the campfire bans and ever increasing restricted access in our parks and forests ..

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/carves-oz/Trip%20Pics/02102012/021012-CSG02b.jpg

.... but of course - this pathetic behaviour/attitude - doesnt help either .. :bang::bang:

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/carves-oz/Trip%20Pics/02102012/021012-Scumbags01b.jpg

I do hope the same ones that made the mess above .... also had to make this mess .. :D:D

Back on the road again ....

It might not look all that impressive ... but we only get, one lane each way, on most of our main roads.

Ya got some nice trails there Carves. Seems to me those "Geckos" have another name, but I cannot recall it right now. Goanna or something like that?

Like the sandstone formation too.

Yeah not a bad area for a run ... would be good if there was some tropical or hill country, closer to hand, to show the variety down here tho.

Gold Star for your flora and fauna knowledge ...

heh heh ... I was only funning with the "gecko" ... I figgered anyone interested - would google something like, "bloody big australian lizards", and come up with .... Goanna. :D
