First off...Mudd if you do not want a thread like this, please delete it.

I thought of this since the other thread's are/have been non political, and more sexual/comical orientated. Some have stated they do not wish to take part in political humor, or opinion. So I suppose if you do not want to take part here...don't come here.:D "keep the people entertained, and they won't care what you do". Loosely credited to Karl Marx

Everyone by now should know my opinions as it pertains to political stuff...:D

There are always going to be some that don't like this type of subject. Religion being the other, but as long as everyone is respectful of each other, (not necessarily the political figures), I don't have a problem with it.

I listened to nearly 8 years of crap being dished out about President Bush...

I just received the following in a e-mail. I haven't reported it to the whitehouse yet. :rotfl2:

The phone rings and the lady of the house answers.

"Hello?"

"Mrs. Sanders, please."

"Speaking."

"Mrs. Sanders, this is Dr. Jones at St. Agnes Laboratory. When your husband's doctor sent his biopsy to the lab last week, a biopsy from another Mr. Sanders arrived as well.
We are now uncertain which one belongs to your husband. Frankly, either way the results are not too good."

"What do you mean?"
Mrs. Sanders asks nervously.

"Well, one of the specimens tested positive for Alzheimer's and the other one tested positive for HIV. We can't tell which is which."

"That's dreadful! Can you do the test again?" questioned Mrs. Sanders.

"Normally we can, but the new health care system will only pay for these expensive tests just one time."

''Well, what am I supposed to do now? "

"The folks at Obama health care recommend that you drop your husband off somewhere in the middle of town. If he finds his way home, don't sleep with him."

What I want to know is, in the face of so much opposition, and it being obvious that only a small minority wanting this proposed "change", why are they SO determined to ram this down our thoats anyway?
It's just like the stimulus.
Around 90% against and they shoved it through anyway.
Where does the representation part of our representative republic come into play?

Answer is, they don't give a damn what YOU want. They vast majority of them are elitists. You are looked at as part of the "masses", unable to know WHAT is good for you and what is not. In other words, a hog with a ring in your nose.

This "healthcare" bill has nothing to do with healthcare. It is all about control, and just another attempt to replace our representive republic with a form of European Socialism. It didn't work in Europe, and it won't work here. With liberalism it isn't the results that matter, it is your good intensions.

We are witnessing Chicago thug politics. This is most likely going to get VERY ugly, uglier than it already is IF Obama and his thugs don't get their way on this. People wanted Bush gone, but I feel ALOT of them will be wishing they had made an informed decision when they voted, and not simply by their hatred for George Bush. But I won't hold my breath...

They keep pushing,, some of us will push back. Enough people have nothing to lose....

Then we need to stand up NOW!!! Before it is to late. I urge everyone that reads this to do what ever you feel needs to be done to help stop this from growing out of control and you are no longer allowed to speack your mind or Obama will send the Gestapo to your house.

Here's another story that is "breaking".:mad0090:

The DEMOCRATIC controlled Senate is considering giving the "Bamster" the ability to control access to the internet. Under the guise of cybersecurity. Apparently the bill is so vague they could cut access to the internet for about any reason they choose.

People, read up on what happened in Germany in the early/mid 1930's and tell me the same things are not showing signs of happening here. If you don't, IMO either your head is in the sand, or you refuse to see what is happening before your eyes. Total STATE Control.

" the best form of secrecy is TOTAL publicity." People will refuse to believe what is happening.

Ronald Reagan
Didn't realize just how much he's missed, until I read and remembered some of the stuff he said... And stood for .

'Here's my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.'- Ronald Reagan

'The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.' - Ronald Reagan

'The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.' - Ronald Reagan

'Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.'
- Ronald Reagan

'I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.' - Ronald Reagan

'The taxpayer: That 's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination.'
- Ronald Reagan

'Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.'
- Ronald Reagan

'The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program.' - Ronald Reagan

'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.' - Ronald Reagan

'Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.' - Ronald Reagan

'Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed, there are many rewards; if you disgrace yourself, you can always write a book.' - Ronald Reagan

'No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is as formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.'- Ronald Reagan

'If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.'
- Ronald Reagan

McCain isn't even in the same league as Ronald Reagan. He's a "moderate" which means he stands for nothing. He licks his finger and sticks it in the air to see which way the political winds are blowing.:smiley-scared002:

I posted Ronnies quotes because they are the exact opposite of what we are facing now and for at least the next four years. I need to remind you that our bank problems, and housing construction crises are the result of a Democratic controlled Congress making borrowing policies aimed at getting every American, legal or not, into a middle class house. Obviously, it was a disaster. Now they want to do the same type of thing with health care and "income redistribution". It has not worked in any country yet that is not willing to be a second rate country.

Here is something else to think about:

A DC airport ticket agent offers some examples of 'why' our country is in trouble!

1. I had a New Hampshire Congresswoman (Carol Shea-Porter) ask for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn't get messed up by being near the window. (On an airplane!)

2. I got a call from a Kansas Congressman's (Moore) staffer (Howard Bauleke), who wanted to go to Capetown. I started to explain the length of the flight and the passport information, and then he interrupted me with, ''I'm not trying to make you look stupid, but Capetown is in Massachusetts .''

Without trying to make him look stupid, I calmly explained, ''Cape Cod is in Massachusetts , Capetown is in Africa ''

his response -- click.

3. A senior Vermont Congressman (Bernie Sanders) called, furious about a Florida package we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando . He said he was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to explain that's not possible, since Orlando is in the middle of the state.

He replied, 'Don't lie to me, I looked on the map and Florida is a very thin state!'' (OMG)

4. I got a call from a lawmaker's wife (Landra Reid) who asked, ''Is it possible to see England from Canada ?''

I said, ''No.''

She said, ''But they look so close on the map.'' (OMG, again!)

5. An aide for a cabinet member (Janet Napolitano) once called and asked if he could rent a car in Dallas . I pulled up the reservation and noticed he had only a 1-hour layover in Dallas . When I asked him why he wanted to rent a car, he said, ''I heard Dallas was a big airport, and we will need a car to drive between gates to save time.'' (Aghhhh)

6. An Illinois Congresswoman (Jan Schakowsky) called last week. She needed to know how it was possible that her flight from Detroit left at 8:30 a.m., and got to Chicago at 8:33 a.m.

I explained that Michigan was an hour ahead of Illinois , but she couldn't understand the concept of time zones. Finally, I told her the plane went fast, and she bought that.

7. A New York lawmaker, (Jerrold Nadler) called and asked, ''Do airlines put your physical description on your bag so they know whose luggage belongs to whom?'' I said, 'No, why do you ask?'

He replied, ''Well, when I checked in with the airline, they put a tag on my luggage that said (FAT), and I'm overweight. I think that's very rude!''

After putting him on hold for a minute, while I looked into it. (I was dying laughing). I came back and explained the city code for Fresno , Ca. is (FAT - Fresno Air Terminal), and the airline was just putting a destination tag on his luggage..

8. A Senator John Kerry aide (Lindsay Ross) called to inquire about a trip package to Hawaii . After going over all the cost info, she asked, ''Would it be cheaper to fly to California and then take the train to Hawaii ?''

9. I just got off the phone with a freshman Congressman, Bobby Bright (D) from Ala who asked, ''How do I know which plane to get on?''

I asked him what exactly he meant, to which he replied, ''I was told my flight number is 823, but none of these planes have numbers on them.''

10. Senator Dianne Feinstein called and said, ''I need to fly to Pepsi-Cola , Florida . Do I have to get on one of those little computer planes?''

I asked if she meant fly to Pensacola , FL on a commuter plane.

She said, ''Yeah, whatever, smarty!''

11. Mary Landrieu, La. Senator, called and had a question about the documents she needed in order to fly to China . After a lengthy discussion about passports, I reminded her that she needed a visa. 'Oh, no I don't. I've been to China many times and never had to have one of those.''

I double checked and sure enough, her stay required a visa. When I told her this she said, ''Look, I've been to China four times and every time they have accepted my American Express!''

12. A New Jersey Congressman (John Adler) called to make reservations, ''I want to go from Chicago to Rhino, New York .''

I was at a loss for words. Finally, I said, ''Are you sure that's the name of the town?''

'Yes, what flights do you have?'' replied the man.

After some searching, I came back with, ''I'm sorry, sir, I've looked up every airport code in the country and can't find a rhino anywhere."

''The man retorted, ''Oh, don't be silly! Everyone knows where it is. Check your map!''

So I scoured a map of the state of New York and finally offered, ''You don't mean Buffalo, do you?''

The reply? ''Whatever! I knew it was a big animal.''

Now you know why the Government is in the shape that it's in!

Could anyone be this DUMB?

YES, THEY WALK AMONG US, ARE IN POLITICS, AND THEY CONTINUE TO BREED.

I don't write it, I just offer it for your consideration. Like manure, you just gotta spread it around.

I know alot of people on here and around do not like President Obama, I did not vote for him. None the less I will support our President, But I'm worried about this guy. He has wonderful goals, but he doesn't seem to have a clue as to how to achieve them. When somebody tells him "no," he's stumped. His instinct is to retreat into his Ivy League professor's mode, turn up his nose, say to himself, "I'm not going to sink to that level," walk away and go on thinking his deep thoughts. That's fine for a professor, but not for a leader. In a leader, that translates as an unwillingness to fight. It translates as weakness. And the worst reputation a leader can get, the one that can destroy him like no other, is one for weakness. The president is clearly a prisoner of his own restlessness, diving head-first into one complex and knotty problem after another with little to show for it but bruises. Thus, the same man who tried to rush through an unprecedented overhaul of America's colossal health-care system in just a matter of a few weeks, now seeks to solve a century-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict by forcing a photo-op meeting in New York in order to jump-start negotiations in its wake. I think he needs someone to sit him down and tell him he is not a Savior just a Politician, put in office to help American people not set milestones and change the world

Your correct...he's NO leader. But he is NOT naive, he's knows EXACTLY what he's doing. His agenda is to redistribute the wealth in this country to the people HE feels are entitled to it. And in his case it isn't only to American citizens.

He believes in the old worn out left/liberal idea that if you let's say, start a business and make money at it, you did not create wealth. You simply stole it from someone else. There for HE, and/or his ilk need to set things straight, and TAKE your hard earned wealth, and redistribute it to the one's HE/THEY feel are entitled to it. Most of the time it is to the lazy unproductive, leeches of society. It is one way of creating yourself a voter base. Promise a block of potential voters a handout, and DAMN... guess who they will vote for. That is an example of the problem with the mininum wage as it is structured today. THEY are the ONLY block of voters that can "vote" themselves a pay raise. Which if you understand economics, gains them nothing. Just makes them feel better. They end up with NO increase in buying power, just made a sucker for some politician.

Hey, I'm a hard a$$. If your an able bodied person you WILL do something. You WILL NOT set on your a$$ and collect a check paid for with MY money. You WILL work, and contribute to society, and THEN we will discuss Government assistance.... That is AFTER you get rid of the cell phone, cable/dish TV, etc.... Oh, and you WILL pass a drug test just like I have to, to get/hold a job.:D

Yes, I think you are spot on here. I have no doubt he knows exactly what he is doing, I just don't think he know politics well enough and that is why I believe he is naive. Again, I disagree. I will not give him ANY pass on what he's doing. He knows politics VERY well. He came out of the :pee:cesspool of ALL politics...Chicago. IMO, he knows the political game, and how it's played.

As far as the other "topic". We both know it's mute point. Society has reached a point IMO where there is no way for "it" to recover. There are too many lazy, uneducated, and "the world owes ME" people out there. The lunatics are running the asylum, and there aren't enough sane people left, or even care to regain control. It isn't the hard working, law abiding citizens calling the shots anymore, it's the lunatic fringe...on BOTH sides of the political spectrum.

As I said, I'm a hard a$$! You WILL work, and contribute, and if YOU choose NOT to, and decide that crime is how you THINK you will survive.....guess what....you die. You would be given ONE chance to "redeem" yourself and become a contributing member of society. If you choose not to, society has no need for you. NO where in our Constitution are you given ANY rights to be a leech.

Now I'm not talking about the average Joe here, but someone who simply refuses to take responsibility for themselves, and figures everyone else is going pick up the tab for their lazy a$$.

A perfect example of what I'm talking about....hurricane Katrina. If your too lazy to get off your fat a$$ and WALK away from a storm you have been told FOR DAYS is coming, you deserve to die.
