BTW, this is just a value add thing for xjtalk members. Don't think that you NEED to buy this stuff to support the board. We'd have to sell $10k worth of merchandise to see any decent profit. The majority of the money goes to the folks that are making it, Cafe Press.

We, the moderators and I, just thought it would be fun for you guys to have things with the xjtalk logo on it, if you wanted it.

No, a couple/few other people expressed interest too. Later today when I get back I'll go look it up. It was buried in a thread about something else. Mayb I'll start a thread specifically to see if I can drum up more interest ... if that's okay with you.

It's a cafepress thing. I think I added $2 to the final price for xjtalk. I'll go have a look and see if I can lower the prices. I agree they are quite high. My wife loves doing crafts, if we had the money I'd have the machines and she would make all that stuff for less money. Who knows as xjtalk grows maybe we can get into that. I think xjtalk hats, coffee mugs and tshirts would really be cool.

I checked out a lot of cafepresses pricing, its actually pretty fair when your doing one-off work. We charge $18.00 alone for a simple transfer to white tshirts, throw shipping on top of that, and your in it for what cafepress wants.

Yeah it seemed a little high to me, but I've never priced all the materials, labor, etc...

One thing about cafe press, they add a $5 charge labeled "Economy" was going to buy a diving decal from them that would of been $4 with shipping and they added the economy charge bringing it to $9. I don't know when they started doing or if they charge more for larger items.

:thanx: Problem is the shirt costs, plus I had a bunch of people say they wanted to buy hats, and I think we've sold 3. No sense in having a bunch of shirts sitting here keep the hats company.

I would like to have lots of goodies to offer. I think the problem is the price. I just can't invest the $1000 it would take to get the price way down on these items.
