View Full Version : Reasons not to vote for McCain.

Much as it pains me to say this, I have to admit it - my Democrat
friends were right.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation's hope would deteriorate,
and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer
Confidence Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any
time during the Bush administration.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply
embroiled in the Middle East, and now, tens of thousands of additional
troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan

My Democrat Party friends told me if I voted for McCain, that the
economy would get worse and sure enough unemployment is approaching
10.5% and the new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the
stock market lower than at any time since the Islamic Terrorists attacks
of 9-11.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high
ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent
cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal,
bribery and tax fraud.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "Pork at the
trough" in Federal government and sure enough, 17,500 "Pork Bills"
showed up in Congress since January 2009.....

I was also told by my Democrat friends that if I voted for McCain, we
would see more deficit spending in Washington D.C. , and sure enough,
Obama has spent more in just 30 days than all other Presidents together
- in the entire history of the good ole USA ....

Well I voted for McCain in November and my Democrat friends were
right...all of their predictions have come true!

Funny point of view. I voted for McCain but only as the lesser of two evils.

Yeah, I got it in a e-mail. Sounds correct but you can never tell for sure. I agree. Although I repect McCain I don't agree with several of his positions. We needed a more "Regan" republican to have run.

I voted for McCain, I still believe he would have been the much better choice, and now I am waiting for Sara Palin, I do believe she will run in 2012, and I will vote for her.

I have to admit I held my nose and voted for McCain....yuck!!! He is a traitor to his party, and a left leaning moderate. Which means he stands for nothing. So IMO we had no real choice since I believe we would be headed down the same road we are now with McCain...only at a much slower rate.

I have no real problem with Palin, but be real...she has been "Quayleized". She will never be taken seriously as a candidate. The media has seen to that. Which is sad.

We NEED another Ronald Reagan, but there is NO ONE out there in the GOP.

Political opions are 'not' healthy on forums that are not politcal.
It's been proven to 'banish.....30/40/50/60 percent of potental users (true fact)

Only other wisdom I can provide, Palin is a freak'in joke and will remain so, her own party saw her future 'dismal', thus her retirement, McCain would have been best suited 4.5 years ago..........but I guess yall did'nt see that.

Wake up America, Ronald has passed away..........

This will be my '1' and only politcal comment on this forum.

Good luck to ya!:rolleye0012:

Ok OK Ok! Enough! I'll do the job. I have a couple conditions....
1) Cryco/Fiat needs to create a POTUS Jeep!
2) I get line item veto.
3) Governess Granholm retires -I live in MI and we want her to become a Canadian citizen again, we've had enough of her!

Wait, I won't get the job because the media and the Dems couldn't find any dirt on me to make it an interesting campaign!
No more politics for me here either. Even though I'm on the Right side of the aisle!

McCain instead of Bush 4.5 years ago????:rotfl2: While W. wasn't IMO the greatest, at least he stood for something. McCain stands for nothing.

You don't win/lead by trying to be like or liked by your opponent, you win/lead by taking a stand even if not popular, and sticking to it. Kinda' like uh......Ronald Reagan did. His unpopular ( to some) tax cuts created the largest peacetime economic expansion in US history. BTW, they DID NOT cause the decifits as the media has tried to brainwash people into thinking.

Happy Jeepin':D

Don't get me started on the mistakes that the American public made by putting Obama in office. He is pushing this country towards socialism and at a rapid pace too!!!

I'll bite this once.....cuzz I'm not Rep. or Demo......so I'm fauked period in this thread.

But.......whats the big joke here? I dont care which party, the current party has been in place what.......6 months at best??? Move to South America if your patience are that low and you watch FOX news for entertainment.......instant satifaction will not be retained unlike the video games you play..........nor is this the 1960's/70's.....your daddy's voice means nothing today......wearing a blue suit and appling black shoe polish to your hair will no longer get you by...........deal with it.

On a side note, in the late 30's........a white man looking for work could be called a "red"........for no reason other than to feed his family making 5 cents a day salary..........Why? (please dont google, lets know what you know)

My dad was born in 1914 in Tenn.. In the '30's he could make "a dollar a day cuttin' timber" and that was all day hard work with hand saws.
I'm assuming you're referring to the red necks they had from working out in the sun all day though.

Nice, but no...."Redkneck" actually deams it's own term of respect, as it was never ment to demean a man within it's period........in it's day it was almost respectfull.....if not respectfull.

It is NO joke. The "current party" told us IF we didn't have the stimulus things would get worse, AND it would have an IMMEDIATE effect when passed. Well we are 6 months down the road and it has gotten worse, and obviously it didn't have ANY effect. So it has nothing to do with impatience, it has more to do with being lied to. And yes...they ALL do it.

"Watch Fox News for entertainment"???? How about for information. ABC, NBC, and especially CBS have a LONG history of lying, making up crap about political figures, or ANYONE "they" deem unacceptable. They have been caught many times doing this, and they just pass it off... oh well the rubes caught us, who cares. Why ANYONE would watch the 3 major networks for news is a mystery to me.

I believe the term "red" is from the depression, and it refers to people trying to band together and strike to raise wages. I suppose the term was ment to associate them with communists. Am I close? It's funny you mention that, I watched The Grapes of Wrath last night, and the term was used in the movie.

I don't get the "blue suit/black shoe polish" thing though. You TOTALLY lost me there.:o
