Hey members, I was just reading the post on tire and lift size. And now I have another ?. I'm wanting to get new Rims for my Jeep but I was thinging of going with the 15x10 size with some 31" or 32" tires and the lift i decided to go with is the rought county 4.5 with some new fender flares. What would be the best back spacing for the rims so the tires dont rub if they do?

My 15x10's have a 3.75" backspace with 32x15x11.5 No rub. Before I trimmed the fenders they lugs would pop on the plastic fenders. After the trim and bushwackers, I can do nice tight turns.

I never touched the steering bumpstops.

Ok kool, I was going to do a 4.5 backspace but thought it may rub.. but a 3.75 sounds better and it'll bring the tires out a little too which I kinda like that look...:D

I really got the 10" wheels with 33x12.5 in mind. I knew 32" was all I could run with a 4.5 lift and no other mods.

I'd like to go to 35" tires, but I'll probably go 33" then 35" after I've beefed up the axles.

Yea 3.75 BS will be your best bet. But if you keep stock fender flares the tires still may rub them.

I was reading this JP magazine I have and I notice in this add their selling 34" tire for the same price as a 31" but the 33" cost more than the 34 and 31".... hmmmm.. If I was to get a 34" with the 3.75 BS rims would you think its would clear with a 4.5 lift and cutting out the fender without any problem or am I going to need to add better gears too?

Which tires are you talking about? I have gotten SS LTB's 34" for like $170 but they were only 10.5" wide.

Yeah the LTB.. I found them for about 150. a peice about 10. more than the 31" but yeah they are 10.5 wide compared to the 11.5... I just figured, what hell 1" narrower bit 2" taller why not... but the ? is, will they rub?

I can't help there I have right around 6" of lift on the one with the LTB's but I have never had any rub.

I run 33 12.5 toyo
with 3.75 bs and cut fenders and started out with 4.1/2 rc lift never rub in the front but did in the back .So just add 2" shackle and hockey pucks up front and well rids good now. And I dont rub in the rear when all flex out.

Are these for a daily driver? Just keep in mind that these are bias ply tires and they ride like square blocks instead of round tires. ;)

That's only for the first couple miles...then you gotta deal with the loud whining of the huge tread blocks slapping on the pavement......

I agree not a good selection for a DD.
