This is what I've been up to the last few weeks. I dove'd the front, Cut down the unibody to the rear spring hanger, bobbed the bed 9 in, Took all the old renix stuff out and rewired it and installed everything from a rusted out 94xj, changed it from a standard to AW4. Built a tire carrier and I'm finishing the front bumper today....

Thanks guy's, the xj on the hill James is my brothers. I'm kind of the xj guy around here and I do alot of work on them. That one's in the process of a front axle swap, I have a concrete pad up there I do long term stuff on. I got the front bumper done today, now I'm working on a pulley that's making noise and a new trackbar. Should be leaving for my buddy's exhaust shop tomorrow and I need to go over into Ohio and pick up a factory MJ rollbar I bought off a guy. I just don't have time to build a cage since were leaving next Thursday.

3 day's left and I still need to finish up the half doors and plumb my air box in. If I have time I'm gonna put some factory skids on. Been working on the car trailer and truck for a couple day's to make sure there ready.

Well I've had some victory and some stuff I couldn't get done, but I'm leaving for Harlan in the morning so it's done for now. I didn't get the half doors done but there close, and I didn't get a winch because a set of Q buckshots popped up for sell that I wanted worse and couldn't afford both. I'll post pics when I get back here's some pics of shake down yard wheeling..:D

The MJ did great at Harlan, I wasn't sure in the beginning but I ended up loving the 112in wheelbase. I didn't brake anything so that was a plus but I did have a fuel delivery gremlin that kept popping up every now and then.

He's just not an internet kind of guy :D He exploded an 8.25 on Friday but we got the welder out that night and put enough rod in there to keep it together Saturday. I just noticed your from Dover, my brother retired from there and I live (magnolia) and worked (Sunroc, at the end of the runway) for years.

That is cool... I have met quite a few people all over the world, over the years that used to work in or around Dover...

This project didn't die it ended up at the sand drags, I took it out one weekend for alittle fun and the truck won in the sand and in the deep pit easily. I beat the wife's racer by 3 tenths and we came in 1st and 2nd. Got me thinking so I took them both to the scales and the truck is almost 400lbs lighter than her stripped down 2dr. So I did what anyone would do and I built a 4.6 stroker for it (stock top end) and finished up the racing season without getting beat. (wife isn't real happy with me) The truck's best time was a 3.72 in 150ft, and the wifes 2dr was a 4.1. So were selling the 2dr and she'll be racing the truck next year. I talked to Zack at 505 performance and I'm putting the money together for a head and computer system now.

Update on this truck, My wife did race it for years. I bought cam, roller rockers, head, inj and throttle body off 505 performance and built a 4.6 stroker bottom end for the truck. My wife won alot of races over the years with this truck, I did pull the motor out of the truck and sold it a couple weeks ago to a friend in OH. He's going to rebuild the truck again and make a DD out of it... I know he will or I wouldn't have sold it to him.

Glad to hear that it will be continuing life... Did you buy the components for the 4.6 build from 505 as well, or just the top end components you mentioned??

Just the top end, I built the bottom end originally for my trail rig, It got re purposed....

Oh ok, that makes sense... I've been looking at 505 for as far as getting parts for my stroker build... But have been seeing a lot of mixed reviews on their customer service and such... so not sure what I'll do.. But figure I got time to do more research before I have to worry about that.. Need more time for parts and money collection before I get around to building a stroker for the Jeep..
