Okay, so I'm finally getting around to putting the stickers on my XJ, but I can't decide where to put them. Here's your chance to picture whore. If you have the xjTalk sticker on your Jeep, post a pic of it. Maybe I can get some ideas. (No pics of the sticker sitting on the kitchen table! :p )

And on a side note: Mudderoy, Is there any chance of getting the stickers made exactly like this? xjtalk Not the free ones because I can imagine the color ones would cost more. That would look really cool. You can put me down for 2 right now! (White really has no place on my Jeep ... maybe that's why I can't figure out where to put it! :rolleyes: )

Well I priced them but it was xjtalk with .com at the end. They are about $6 each not including shipping. That was a 25 quantify order though ($152). Shipping is about $6. I agree with you though that would be prettier.

Well we have another problem. I recommended my sticker guy to Howler. He ordered some 5 weeks ago and still hasn't received them. I'm afraid to go back to this guy now.

See if the guy has an explanation for his slowness with HowlerGT. Maybe he has had a death in the family or something. At least give him a chance to explain.

Ok I got around to sending All Terrain Decals and e-mail today. I really didn't want to get into the situation between the company and Howler, but I did express my concern that someone I had recommened to him had to wait so long.

He explained to me that the stickers I had made were simple and he was able to set them up in 5 minutes to be processed. Howler's, and this was my misunderstanding when you were asking me about it Howler, stickers was not a simple circle and block letters, I guess you had a image of a wolf on yours. This requires vectors so the machine that cuts the vinyl knows direction and distance to cut.

I should have got more involved I probaly could have "vectored" your image and you would have got your stickers much more quickly. Of course I may not fully understand the process either since all I've done is read about and created a vector file that wasn't needed or used for my stickers. A simple JPEG was all that was needed for xjtalk stickers.

Bottom line is he's really busy with orders so instead of quoting 5 days, he is quoting 10 days to create and ship the stickers.

I told him I'd get the image of the sticker we are interested in having made so he can give me an exact price. What you might want to think about is the size of the sticker.

I'll post the full size image here as an attachment, after I get home tonight.

On my 20" screen, your smallest pic measures 2.75"x7.5. Of course, being the difficult person I am, my ideal size would be a 3" circle with an 8inch "tail" :p . I'm saying that with a ruler in my hand. Hoping that the design has no background, just the letters/circle in relief.

Yes the middle size seems correct for a window decal. The large one is too big unless it is the only sticker you have. Too large for a windsheild banner too. Can really not think of a legit use for that larger one. The smallest one would be appropriate for my toolbox but too small for the Jeep.

The measurement is the height and length.

So roughly speaking the height would be the diameter of the circle.

If you looked closely at the sitcker, I placed it where it's less likely to get all beat up. I normally bang my skid/gas tank near the hitch. So I was nice to the sticker :)

Well my 4.0 has about 140k +- and no major trouble (knock wood). Even after I almost hydrolocked it doing donuts in a huge puddle one day. I don't think it's the fault of the "modern 4.0" but rather the previous owner. These engines have a solid proven rep.

What I mean by modern is 00-01 xj 4.0's. They SUCK. Misfire after misfire, cel after cel. I can't stand it anymore. There's no definate CURE for the misfires so that's what sucks. I wouldn't mind giving the older 4.0's a try, the ones with the distributer instead of the injection rail.

But the leaks....damn. Valve cover and rear main leak on almost every xj. That's poopy.

All Terrain Decals got back to me. He was concerned that the stickers were too small. He was double checking with me to be sure of the sticker sizes before he quoted.

I double checked "with a ruler on my screen" and yes the stickers were quite small. The circle in the 4"x10" is the same size as the most recent xjtalk stickers that was sent out. If you look at one of those pictures you can get an idea of the size that it would be on your XJ.

I am thinking the 2x5 and the 4x10's are the one's we want.
