My wife's old car my son is driving needed a new waterpump. A 1997 Sable with 191,000+ miles on it. I hate putting money AND time into a car with that many miles on it, but it runs good, and get's him around so.... Dad to the rescue.

You know... you find your 52 year old hands and fingers ache more after doing a job like that than they used to.:smiley-gen165: Where's my Advil!!!!:D

Drug another XJ to my buddy's house and went home. When he raised the hood and found we had brought a hitch-hiker home. There was a possum under the hood and she hissed at him so I came and got her out. She was wanting to stay and have her litter of babies under the hood but we encouraged her to pick another spot.
Went to a friends house (he is 77) and gave him the bad news that his fuel pump on his Toyota was in need of replacement.

Well Today (yesterday the 18th actually) was my wifes and my 1 year anniversary since we got married. We went to Universal Studios City Walk, Down to the Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive and up to the Hollywood sign. Ate at Rock n Roll Cafe and then saw a movie in Imax. Just got back home about 10 mins ago.

ya for the most part. We were impressed with the Imax theater. But city walk was amazing. Hollywood was pretty cool too so many exotic cars down on Rodeo Drive, it wasnt even funny. Next time i am taking my jeep down there doorless and parking on Rodeo Drive just to see peoples reaction lol.

Happy first anniversary! I spent an evening in Hollywood back in the mid '90's. Worth seeing at least once.

Honestly, I thought Hollywood was mostly a s**thole. EVERY "store" was selling t-shirts, and crap like that. There are some places that were neat to see, and the closer you got to north Hollywood it was nice, but "downtown" Hollywood was a getto IMO.

I wish I could find the pic I took of a guy with a Toyota crammed COMPLETELY full of junk, and more junk tied to the outside of the car with an old garden hose. It was pathetic. NOTHING like I expected.

I did find a picture of me standing at the corner of Hollywood & Vine though. Circa 1994...less years, less fat, and NO gray beard!

LOL ya down town wasnt like i was expecting. I like Rodeo Drive though it was nice and clean. But then again all the stores in that area are the high dollar name bran stores. My wife saw a pair of sandals for $150 a pair of sandals. Also a pair of shoes for $1,250 i was like WTF!!!! :smiley-scared002: DONT TOUCH THEM lol.. it was ridicules.
