I would say that rates as scenery. Is that typical mountain terrain in Aussie?

That's just pure beauty! I would love to have that as my daily commute! Or even just get to drive it once a week and I could be happy

Typical of the area out this way ..... :o

Lots of flat .... with some bumps .. :D:D

A bit further out ... Its just flat with buggerall bumps.

The main mountain range that runs nth/sth down the country, along the coast, has some wild & woolly sections tho ...

They had as much trouble finding passes west out of Sydney, back in the early days ... as what you fellas did getting over the Rockies .... despite our lower ground heights.

Pandora Pass is actually a western point/spur, of the main range where it meets the flat country.

... nearly took a pic of the "beer, food & accom" pub sign, nailed to a tree .... :D

XXXX ... pfftttt .... thats the Qld state beer .... Tooheys & Fosters catspiss is the regular down here .... 'Tis why I'm a rum drinker ... :D

Twas just a little jaunt to check out some bargains at a salesyard. Didnt buy nothing but it was worth the trip - just to see two blokes outbidding each other on a used, 7x4 box trailer worth about $250 ......................................... It went for $1700 ...... .. :smiley-laughing021:

Made me happy .... since I had forgotten to put the towhitch back in the receiver before I headed off anyways ... :o .... :rotfl2:

Including the "shortcut" back from town ... 'twas only about 170 miles ... half of it dirt.

Its a good run in the dry ... but the downhill section in the photos is .... "interesting" - when that black soil gets a bit damp tho ... so I understand why the scaredycat towny drivers, need all the wet weather warning signs ;) .. :D

XXXX was originally a Victorian beer that they kicked out, it must be bad if Victorians don't want it, after all they have the Vomit Bombs (VB)....

I think I will stick to my bourbon.....

bad luck

Thanks for the pictures. I really enjoy looking at the pictures of Australia, I've always wanted to go there, but I probably never will. The clay roads around here are impassable when it rains too. Bob

Impassable? What a nice thought. Although that term has gotten me in some trouble.
